I was watching the Spanish Language
Despierta America news show on Univision this morning, there seems to be a big push to naturalize foreigners from Latin America and shove them into the voting booth.
I'm not sure of the name of the organization
http://ciudadania.yaeshora.info/sobre?id=0005 (the website has
Ya Es Hora Ciudadania to the left of two buttons named
Hagase Ciudadano and
Vey Voto). They have have a toll free free number with operators working the phones as well as the website (the reporter interviewed an immigration attorney and another functionary in the call room); There are citizenship seminar and voting registration locations (presumably crammed full of propaganda material) plastered all over the Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco areas; a good sprinkling in the San Joaquin Valley; and representation in a number of other states - it's a long list, might be fifty state. The locations run the gamut from Catholic Churches and Catholic charities, NALEO (National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials), Mexicana Hermandad, Attorney's offices, public high schools, and colleges, you name it.
Once again:
Quote:
I am somehow reminded of the City of Bell scandal. The city is crammed full of people born in Latin America who are used to being fleeced and taken advantage of by politically corrupt governments, there is no other political system where they come from. Until outsiders intervened, the City council and city administrators siphoned off millions of dollars while perpetrating voter fraud and all the rest. It was primarily possible by baggage the city of immigrants brought with them.
Now consider that "the path to citizenship" leads directly to Democrat voter registration without having to know much if anything at all about American democracy, American history, America itself, or even the English language.
