Oh, yeah. Getting fingerprints in the field. That's the future. If the local police can just whip one of these out and get a fingerprint when they pull somebody over, what do they need a driver's license for? A driver's license would still be a necessary backup. Maybe a motorist would have the option, driver's license or fingerprint with fingerprints mandatory in some cases.

But the Netherlands is a small country with many, many borders, not just physical.

Any opinions on a national fingerprint registry? No more identity theft. Maybe something that would go with a social security number.
