UC Berkely Republican Students Stage Diversity Bake Sale Protest
 

The Berkely student republicans are holding a diversity bake sale that will feature discounts on goods for black, latino, female, etc. in protest of an assembly bill on Brown's desk that will allow the UC to consider race in their admissions policy in violation of prop 209

What's more, the college student body assembly is condemning this. It's hypocsisy at rather extreme levels. Apparently they believe racism can only be practiced when you're doing "good".

Things really have come full circle. The Bay Area Bake Sale Front is an old sixties institution. Recall the bumper sticker pondering the military having to hold a bake sale to raise money instead of the PTA. And I'll bet that somewhere back then prices could be found graded for race and gender too.
