HA! the other side to this is that somewhere on this site I posted an old commercial that Jackie Kennedy made....in spanish...for her husbands campaign. Presumably it was aimed at cuban and other spanish speakers at the time, but you can see that pandering to foreign tongued voters and their demographic goes back that period as well

Many Native American families still spoke Spanish (most today are still bilingual and have long left Indian tribes). The New crowd of Latinos today aren't. Most originate from illegal alien roots.
But yes that was pandering because Hispanic Americans in the 60's knew English at that time. Jackie was kissing butt.

That may look like me, but it's not. Over half of my classmates during that time were of Japanese and Chinese heritage. :D

My classmates were about 1/4 Hispanic, 1/4 Black, 1/3 White and the rest were mixed. Now that same grade school is 95% Hispanic.
