Brown vetoes Non-Citizens On Juries Bill

This is a good veto. I followed this bill for months, and previously stated how wrong it was. Brown's veto below:

Quote:

OCT 072013
To the Members of the California State Assembly:
I am returning Assembly Bill 1401 without my signature.
Jury service, like voting, is quintessentially a prerogative and responsibility of citizenship. This bill would permit lawful permanent residents who are not citizens to serve on a jury. I don't think that's right.
Sincerely,
Etdinii I. ABr w i $.
Maybe because it didn't include illegals too? :D

Nah.

Brown does have some sense every now and then. However, Governor Moonbeam is one of the few moderates in Sacramento (grading on a relativity curve where "moderate" is a semi hard left). Next week he'll probably be flogging the "train to nowhere" bazillion dollar pony, the week after he might shoot down "Compassion for LGBTs with Johne's disease day" (the third Monday in every April when everyone must wear brown armbands, state holiday), then next month it might be either way about illegal street vendors and illegal restaurants run out of residential back yards being legitimized despite health codes which prescribes that food sold to the public shall be prepared to certain standards, which includes a stainless steel wrapped kitchen as well as the local permitting process.

The old slap about California being the "Land of Fruits and Nuts" particularly applies to California state politics.
