Why not get the old database from SOS.org?

It's too bad that all the old postings from the old SOS are not available here. It's nice to be able to look back at old issues and recent events that sometimes people forget all too easily. The database of the old vBulletin should be pretty easy to add to this one. Perhaps another site set up strictly for achival purposes of the old forum might be possible.

We have most of it, but it takes some work to comingle it with this one, and that's an effort I cannot undertake right now. It's alot harder to use it because it was built on a different URL.. All those links have to be changed. all gazillion of them. Our database is a year old too.
We did try to just do the simpler method, but there were too many strings attached. Our history and all that posted information was at the heart of our effort to obtain it. Unfortunately it was not successful. Maybe something will change in the near future.

What happened? Do you know? Did everyone just wake up one morning and decide to capsize the ship or what?

No, it's a bit more complicated than that. We'll catch everyone up soon.
