RE: Political Party: La Raza Unida Party Notification of Intent to Qualify

Pursuant to Elections Code section 5002, this notice serves to inform you that on November 23, 2011, the Secretary of State received formal notification from "La Raza Unida Party" of their intent to qualify as a political party. Attached is a list of the current qualified and non-qualified political parties and the codes to use when sending this information to the CalVoter database. Please track all registrations and let us know the number of voters registered with the La Raza Unida Party for all future reports of registration, until otherwise notified. If you have any questions, please give me a call at (916) 657-2166. Attachment cc: Miguel Angel Perez

My Google Translator takes "La Raza Unida Party" and gives, "The Race United Party".

If this is OK with the state, then it should be OK for any other racist party. If they qualify to show up on the ballot, we have one more reason to remove party politics from the ballot process altogether.

My signature again, Criminalize asking party affilation for voter registration! End the "two party system"!

There is absolutely no reason that any government body should have anything to do with party politics. We need to criminalize the asking of party affiliation for purposes of voter registration. No government official should ever record the political party of any voter. It should be a crime.

There is no reason for any political party to seek "ballot qualification" in this state or any other place in the USA. "Ballot qualification" is only for purposes of running primary elections. And primary elections are based on voter participation according to party affiliation. It is none of any part of government's business what your party affiliation is, especially for purposes of voter registration. And if the government doesn't keep track of party affiliation, there is no reason for "ballot qualification".

Getting rid of party affiliation records for registered voters would suck the life out of the political ambitions of these taco-Nazis.
